Amy  Macklin Speakman is an experienced Fund Raiser, Grant Creator, and Membership Motivator who is very practical and successful at getting processes started.  Starting in the early 2000's, Amy was Director of Development and Communications for Habitat for Humanity - Atlanta and the Director of Major Gifts for such projects as the Leadership Circle for Georgia Public Television in the late 1990's.  She now runs her own consulting company and a busy household of two beautiful children with her husband, Erik who is also a consultant to non profits, and businesses.  She will give us ideas for our Club and Division to create support for our mission to serve children -worldwide. Lots of  ideas and questions for Amy including the 501(c)3 Chairitable Foundation, and the need for budgeting/project planning so we can start the year on a better fiscal basis. We had a full house featuring a three course, soup, salad, and entree luncheon, with a Greek flair, at the Empire Diner.

LT. STEVE ROSE OF THE SANDY SPRINGS POLICE DEPARTMENT SPOKE AT THE FEBRUARY 4TH LUNCHEON MEETING AT NANCY G'.

We all check out the "Police Blotter" in the Sandy Springs Reporter to read a little humor in even the worst cases of crime committed in our community.  Steve Rose has been the long time Community Communicator for the Police in North Fulton County and mixes both serious condemnation and advice to go with his now famous descriptions of the silly side of domestic life in Sandy Springs.  He offers good ideas to protect yourself against Theft while describing his own experience and effects of "Ambien".  We enjoyed hearing our street savy Police Officer who brought  the real life on the street to us each time we read his column or hear him speak.
